Saturday was a great day for a end of winter scavenger hunt at Lake Davidson Nature Preserve. A group of children with their families enjoyed searching for interesting things. We saw trees that still have no leaves, trees starting to bud and even some that are starting to bloom. We found feathers, pebbles and sticks shaped like the letter Y. We looked at the different textures of bark. Some found things left behind by people. But mostly, we enjoyed being outdoors and paying attention to the natural world.
