Spiders, beetles, snails, cicadas, ants, slugs, millipedes — we discovered them all, and then some. Kids and adults were fascinated as Corey Sperling showed us each critter’s unique features, explaining how they lived and adapted to the forest. One especially memorable moment was watching a little boy who had gathered a daddy long-legs in his clear plastic bug container. Bringing the container up close to his face, he gazed at the spider intently, and then whispered, “Hello.”
The photos here capture a few of our woodland moments.
